Pastel was the first media that I can remember exploring. The intense color of the pure pigments intrigued me from the beginning.

I've participated in numerous National and International exhibitions, receiving awards such as the Pastel Society of the West Coast Award, Pastels On High International Exhibition Award of Merit, and was granted Sierra Pastel Society's Signature Artist Status in 2006.

Glass; shiny, hard, fragile, has fascinated for years. Fusing glass allows me to design dynamic works without the chemicals, foiling and soldering needed when doing stained glass. I often take my inspiration from the glass itself. While designing I envision the finished piece and how light and color will complete it.
